Important earthenware vase stamped by the house of De Bruyn, famous earthenware factory in the district of Fives in Lille, from 1864 until its closure in 1950. This ceramic with butterfly and thistle decoration, bearing the reference "n° 3185 BIS", was produced in different colours. It has a midnight blue background, while the beautiful relief decoration and the chrysalis-like handles are a subtle shade of water green.
This large vase, a vestige of a French know-how that has now disappeared, will please with its deep colours and harmonious ornaments.
