This really is a Very Nice Looking and Quite Unusual Vintage American Duck Decoy. It is American in Origin and it Comes From the Mid 20th Century. It is Completely Hand Made - Hand Carved out of Solid Hardwood that Based on Weight, Grain Style & Design I Believe to be American Chestnut. It has Interesting Detail in its Carved and Hand Painted Features. It is Also Set with Beautiful Lifelike Glass Eyes. It has No Maker or Other Markings. I purchased the piece on one of my recent picking trips in the Southern Pennsylvania - Northern Maryland Region.
It is in Very Good Condition - Displays Nicely.
It Measures 5 3/4 inches Tall x 12 1/4 inches Long x 5 1/2 inches Wide.
