Figure of Man is an Original China Ink Drawing realized by Marcel Vertès. The artwork is in good condition, included a white cardboard passpartout (45x35 cm). Hend-signed by the artist on the lower left corner. Marcel Vertès (born Marcell Vértes, 10 August 1895 – 31 October 1961) was a French costume designer and illustrator of Hungarian-Jewish origins. He won two Academy Awards (Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design) for his work on the 1952 film Moulin Rouge. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
