This really is a Great Looking - Unusual Vintage American Duck Decoy. Circa mid 20th Century. It is Completely Hand Made - Hand Carved out of Solid Pine Wood. It still retains its Nicely Executed Original Hand Painted Features. It has a Very Nice Form and The Head is set with Lifelike Glass Eyes. The Bottom is Signed by the Maker ? and Dated 1855 ( See 12th - Last Photograph in Listing ). It is in Very Nice Condition - Displays Beautifully. I found this piece on one of my recent picking adventures in The Down East Coastal Maine Region.
It Measures 5 1/2 inches Tall x 14 1/2 inches Long x 5 5/8 inches Wide.
