The large serving tray with raised lip edge detail is made in Italy in 1978 of metal with an enamel finish, featuring lithograph print amazing Pop Art style cartoon motif graphic design details in a gorgeous vibrant multicolor palette, with a cookie wafer style font " Fioruccino " brand logo.

The world famous Italian fashion brand was founded in 1967 by Elio Fiorucci. The first shop exposed Milan to the styles of swinging London and American classics such as the t-shirt and jeans. By the late 1970's this would be reversed, and the New York store would become famous for the fashions it introduced in The United States.

In the early 1980's the Fiorucci boutique in New York City was the epicenter of the New Wave Postmodern fashion scene. It was the place to be, and referred to as " The Daytime Studio 54 ". It attracted trendsetters including Andy Warhol, Jackie O., Truman Capote, Debbie Harry, and a young Madonna, among many other creative and well known people.

The rare vintage New Wave fashion large metal Pop Art serving tray measures 17 1/4" W X 12 3/4" D X 1/2" H.

It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, use, light signs of handling and light wear. There is some overall light wear to the tray finish, and some visible wear from use on the upper right side rim edge blue area. Please see photos for condition reference.
