This one of a kind turn of the century Victorian sofa frame has been updated by Sultanchic and styled after famed Italian designer Fornasetti using original vintage fabrics. It is very NON-Victorian in its sensibilities!! In a nod to art history tradition, "La Odalisque" as this sofa is called, references classic artistic figurative paintings produced by such luminaries as Rubens, Ingres, Manet, Matisse, and Renoir etc. This piece is striking in its detail and workmanship including unusual corner snakeskin channeling. It has plush down cushions, black snakeskin vinyl leather seating, linen striped accents, and a graphic vintage fabric depicting female nudes.
