This elegant depression glass pink footed mayonnaise serving bowl was made by the New Martinsville Glass Co. and it is pressed glass pressed in their Octagon pattern with a hand engraved design that was named the NEM 3 that they produced circa 1948. The NEM 3 is short for the New Martinsville third pattern which is a lovely hand engraved design featuring a geometric bordered detail surrounding the flower blossom and leaf motif that was done exceptionally well on this piece by a skilled craftsman. The vibrant pink color of this footed mayonnaise bowl comes from the selenium that was added to the glass to enhance the color which glows pink under the blacklight. This footed mayonnaise bowl is 7 1/8" wide to the rim by 3 1/8" tall and it is in "Pristine Condition" with no chips, no cracks, no repairs, and very little wear to the piece for the age of it.
