Abissus Abissum Invocat is one of the best works realized by Alberto Sordi in 2005. The scenario is apocalyptic, from Twilight of the Gods: on the parchment of the title, inspired by a biblical passage, the face of Joachim of Fiore emerges; the celestial abyss is reflected in hell, a figurative expression of "The Last Cataclysm" by Tyutcev, among a crowd that includes Jacopone da Todi, Frederick of Swabia, Kierkegaard, Pascal, medieval knights and more. In the background, the destruction of idols, ancient cities and modern skyscrapers. The televisions below broadcast images of Dostoevsky, Philip Dick, Bin Laden, a Japanese kamikaze and The Old Man of the Mountain. The New Humanity marches fearlessly through the Kaos and the arcane symbologies, along the rope stretched over the abyss described in "Thus Spoke Zarathustra". Hand-signed on the back. Perfect conditions. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
