All our carpets are cleaned in a professional carpet laundry. The first step of the cleaning process consists of a thorough beating of the carpet to remove dust and any mites. The subsequent pre-wash with a PH-neutral soap removes stains. During the main wash, the carpet is washed by hand through and through wet - a special soap is gentle on the fibres and preserves the carpets' natural wool grease. An initial dewatering is carried out by machine pressing and spinning, so that the carpets are then hung to dry with permanent circulating air.
