From the series "omokage genji gojuyo" (in reference to the 54 episodes of genji), the 12th episode "suma". Genji stands in front of a screen holding a bamboo branch with gohei paper ornaments, at his feet the female immortal, fairy ryujo. Inset image: fishing nets on suma beach. Signature ryusai (hiroshige ii). Main image signature: kochoro kunisada ga. Publisher: tsutaya kichizo. Censorship: aratame. Good impression with blind printing (hamaguri shells in waves, fan folds), margins damaged by wormholes and small tears, slightly creased and yellowed, margins partly cut this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
