Ultimate elegance and style epitomize this set of four neoclassical bamboo and rattan armchairs from the 1930s.
Attention all designers who love a project that will yield something special. Each chair has squared open back centering and a wheat-sheaf splat over a trapezoidal, over-the-rail upholstered seat, over swag carved rails, raised on four legs.
These chairs are sturdy and maintain a certain air, although they need a bit of imagination and conservancy. The arms and legs need repainting or a new cosmetic covering. The material on the seats is ready to be replaced as well. But if you like these, you may want to acquire them. You may not see them again soon. These 90-plus year old gems are hard to find.
