Showcasing an expressive design, incredible detail and texture, this hand knotted wool contemporary Berber Moroccan rug is a captivating vision of woven beauty. The bold geometric pattern and vibrant colors woven into this Moroccan rug work together creating a truly unique look. Ivory lines run from the top to the bottom crisscrossing in an organic manner, creating a loosely rendered asymmetrical lozenge trellis with a strong sense of dimensionality and a striking visual effect. The organized system of its chaotic order has been transformed into an artistic composition. Drawing inspiration from Jasper Johns, Gunta Stolzl, and Richard Pousette-Dart, this Moroccan rug beautifully embodies Abstract Expressionism. Rendered in variegated shades of amethyst, purple, mauve, lavender, lilac, eggplant, violet, navy blue, ink blue, sky blue, mint, light yellow, cerulean, seafoam, indigo, beige, celadon, and baby bl See less
