Geraldine Shapiro - Large Wood Fired Black Stoneware Vessel, Signed (ca. 1970). A rectangle burnt yellow metal glaze stripe en recto, and a mauve metal glaze stripe en verso. Interior lip has an iridescent glaze reminiscent of a gemstone. Signed on the bottom. In good condition with wear consistent with age and firing method. Swathes of fire contact on the back.
