This hand-knotted wool vintage Berber Moroccan rug features three lozenge diamonds along the center flanked with eight-point stars and protection amulets floating in an abrashed creamy-beige field. The poly-chromatic lozenges represent womanhood, fertility, protection and keep away evil. It is enclosed with a zigzag snake border. In Moroccan rugs, male motifs often appear on the outer portions of the composition, framing and enclosing the female motifs.
