This hand-knotted wool vintage Moroccan Azilal rug is a striking example of the Berber tribe and their weaving skills. Dual colored lines form a diamond lattice on a field of creamy-beige. Historical richness and full of Ancient Berber symbolism, this Moroccan Azilal rug features traditional symbols of protection, femininity and conception. It is heavily ornamented with diamonds and x-shapes, which represents a woman's openness to conceive and the power of womanhood. Smaller diamonds, when housed inside of larger diamonds, is known to predict a pregnancy. This vintage Moroccan rug encapsulates the resonant heritage and stirring glory of the Berber Tribes of Morocco.
