Profusely decorated en grisaille on a robin's egg blue ground. Inside are four more similarly decorated boxes set within a red silk interior. Measures 7 5/8" x 5 3/4" x 2 1/4" deep. The bright color makes a nice accent on a side table or desk. The design is similar to that found on toile de Jouy fabrics of the period. Good condition - age crack on upper right.
