English Regency Japanned lacquer jewel box in the Chinese taste circa 1820. Decorated on all sides with Chinese figures in a landscape. Original wool green baize on the base. Divided interior lined with bright blue paper. Measures 9" long x 4 3/4" wide x 2 1/2" tall. Good condition consistent with age and use - expected wear and shrinkage cracks. Small loss of veneer to interior does not detract. A beautiful and early box. See less
