Cashmere tea pot. Delft, circa 1700 - 1710 The Metal Pot pottery. Mark: LVE, period of Lambertus van Eenhoorn (1691-1721) The ribbed tea pot has a somewhat pear-shaped body on a foot, with a short upright spout and a C-shaped handle. The domed lid has a vase-shaped knob. The tea pot is painted all around with a floral cashmere decor in blue, purple, green and red. The motifs, derived from Chinese porcelain, consist of plants, flowers and leaved branches that issue from rocks, a bird and an insect fly above. Double red lines are applied around the foot and neck, a scroll motif on the shoulder. The handle is painted with diamond motifs and stripes. The cashmere decor was developed in Delft around 1700 and enjoyed great popularity for a short period, till about 1720. The colour palette is blue, green and red, sometimes with additional colours black, purple or yellow. The decorations are mainly flower vases and floral motifs derived from Chinese porcelain. These were often combined with ornaments developed in France, such as lambrequins and point work (palmette-shaped panels or cartouches). The cashmere decor was applied to multiple Delftware items such as garnitures, ewers, vases, beer mugs, bowls, dishes, tea pots and canisters, often in a ribbed version as with this tea pot. Dimensions: height 13 cm / 5.11 in., length 16.5 cm / 6.49 in., width 10.5 cm / 4.13 in. This tea pot is about 320 years old and in very good condition, only the usual rim chips. I carefully package all items in a double-box and use first class packaging material. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
