It is made of stoneware pottery ceramic and has a very unique blue and black coloration and surface structure. The bottom is marked with typical Liebenthron Producer signature GL and year signature 65 and 73. Very collectible and very rare items of the Liebenthron Collection. Straightforward and minimalistic design of the 1960s and 70s design era. This item is a wonderful addition to every modern home. Dimensions: Left Height 19,7cm Diameter 6,5cm. Left Height 7cm Diameter 9,5cm. Condition: This item is in a very good vintage condition with patina. VITA Liebenthron: From 1945-1951 Liebenthron studied at the Staatliche Kunstschule Bremen (school of arts) in the pottery class of Else Krieg & Dorothea Colberg-Tjadens. In 1951 Liebenthron has been the Assistant of the sculptor Prof. Giesemann there. After Liebenthron finished his time at the Kunstschule he opened his own workshop in the Böttcherstraße, Bremen (in 1952). Gerhard Liebenthron's work can be found in several museums in Germany. The Keramik Museum in Berlin, the Focke Museum in Bremen and the Hetjens Museum in Düsseldorf for example. He has been a member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Kunsthandwerk Bremen.
