Vintage Michaelian & Kohlberg Tibetan Rug 08'09 x 09'04. With effortless beauty and a strong sense of dimensionality, this hand-knotted wool M&K Tibetan rug is engaging, yet well balanced creating a striking visual effect. The striated field features an all-over geometric pattern composed of ambiguous tribal motifs. Imbued with blue, purple, and green hues, the rich waves of abrash of painterly-like brush strokes and softly gradated striations run selvage to selvage blending seamlessly from one to the next. M&K rugs have graced the settings of some of the most prestigious interiors over the years, including the White House, the Sultan of Brunei's Palace, Microsoft Headquarters, hotels and the homes of many celebrities.
