A striking abstract organic drawing on black paper, composed in strong, luminous colors.
Executed in colored pencil, signed and dated ‘Fritz Klee, 1955’, and numbered.
The composition shows Klee’s late-period freedom of expression and ornamental sensibility.
Fritz Klee was a German artist, porcelain designer, and architect, and a long-time professor at the State Porcelain School in Selb. Well into advanced age, he continued to work daily, producing a remarkable body of graphic works distinguished by color, rhythm, and spontaneity.
