A finely composed abstract organic drawing conceived as an ornamental study in strong yet balanced colors.
Executed in colored pencil on paper, signed and dated ‘Fritz Klee, 1955’, and numbered.
The composition reflects Klee’s mid-century graphic language, characterized by fluid forms, gentle contrasts, and a rhythmic interplay of color and line.
Fritz Klee was a German artist, porcelain designer, and architect, and a long-time professor at the State Porcelain School in Selb. Alongside his influential work in porcelain and design, he developed an extensive body of graphic works in which abstraction and ornament play a central role.
