A delicately composed abstract organic drawing conceived as an ornamental study in vivid yet finely balanced colors.
Executed in colored pencil on paper, signed and dated ‘Fritz Klee, 1952’.
This early post-war work reveals Klee’s developing abstract language, marked by fluid linework, playful forms, and a strong sense of compositional rhythm.
Fritz Klee was a German artist, porcelain designer, and architect, and a long-time professor at the State Porcelain School in Selb. Alongside his influential work in design and architecture, he produced an extensive body of graphic works in which abstraction and ornament are central themes.
