Children in traditional … Read more Circa 1980s Chinoiserie set of four finely handcut paper collage works by Japanese American artist Junko Liesfeld. Children in traditional kimono garments are depicted in vignettes which represent the four seasons. Each work is made with many different Japanese papers that have been exquisitely cut and carefully applied to a pistachio green panel with a fine metallic gold border. The panels are each mounted atop a dark green mat and framed in a gold gilt faux bamboo frame under glass.

Measurements are for each piece. We note there is some faint smudginess under the glass in a few spots, likely from a slight amount off-gassing from the glues that were used in creating these pieces, but it does not interfere with the enjoyment of the works. If desired, the glass could be removed and cleaned from the inside, or removed entirely to remain framed without the use of any glass.
