A fine example of 1960s Scandinavian blown glass. Designed by Bo Borgström for Åseda Glasbruk of Sweden. The form no. is B5-602 in a crisp pale honey amber sommerso glass over clear. 10 inches tall. Sommerso glass ("submerged" in Italian) features several layers of colored glass encased by clear glass. This difficult technique was developed by Antonio Da Ros
of Cenedese and was perfected by Paolo Venini, however Flavio Poli of Seguso d'Arte popularized it.
