Keith Haring and Kermit Oswald met as very young children in their hometown of Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
They were best friends throughout Haring’s life. Oswald went on to be the Director of the Kieth Haring Foundation.
They collaborated on many works. Kermit would build the wood construction and cut out pieces for Harding’s paintings.
Oswald’s works have sold at auction at Christie’s and Sotheby’s over the years and are growing popularity.
This work ink on paper is more unique because Oswald also hand made the frame. It’s a very special piece.
