The painting depicts a woman sitting in profile looking introspective. It is done in an impressionistic style, with an earthy burnt orange background and soft pastels molding her hair, face, and body in bright mint green, cornflower blue, violet and taupe. This painting was framed by the artist and is unsigned.

We have a written account from the daughter who inherited this painting from her mother. There is also a note scribbled on the back of the canvas that denotes two paintings were paid off over time, for 10$ per month.
