The Rocco-style cartouche has an abundant central bouquet of roses, lilacs, delphinium, and morning glories surrounded by a cartouche frame of olive branches and periwinkle garlands, and a solid celadon border.

Brushstrokes and drawing marks are evident throughout and on the back are instructions for yarns using the mills stock color numbers with french notations. There are cracks and areas showing wear which all adds to the sense of history and wonderful antique character.

It would be fantastic framed and hung in a large room.
