The framed … Read more A vibrant original painting created plein-air in rural Missouri. The painting is 16inches tall by 20 inches wide. The framed size is 18 inches tall by 22 inches wide and is beautifully framed in an ornate gold tone frame.. Monet painted at Giverny, I paint in rural Missouri, in the foot hills of the Ozarks. I have painted here for many years and spend part of my summer in an old 1930s cabin. We sleep on the large screened porch next to the beautiful Indian Creek. This painting is a view the old washed out road after the old cement slab was removed on New Hope Church Road. It was completely impassible but the caution sign was still there. This painting is on stretched canvas.

Marina Movshina is an American artist known for landscape painting, and for her illustrations of children’s books, as well as her botanicals. Her paintings have been selected for the exhibition of distinguished alumni at Carnegie-Mellon’s Centennial Celebration of its College of Fine Art, the Logan Center at the University of Chicago and the Harlin Museum in West Plains, MO. An elected artist member of the American Artists’ Professional League, New York, NY, she is admired for her skill as a painter and draftsman in the handling of space, depiction of light, and expert use of color. She received a B.F.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University and studied at the Art Students’ League, New York, NY, Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL. Marina lives in St. Louis, MO.
