The Chairs were made in India. Hand crafted, the wood derived from the Mango tree and is considered to be a hardwood. This strong and dense wood ranked very high on the Janka Hardness scale. The Mango tree is mainly found in the tropics, but can be originally traced back to ancient India.
These handcrafted attractive chairs share a strength, density (lift one up and you'll understand),and attractive looks that is ideal for the dining room. They have character and will make a presence in any room. It's hardwood makes it ideal for heavy traffic areas sturdy and resistance to bodies in motion. They keep their high luster texture for many years just "simply" wipe and shine.

Please keep in mind that this is a vintage piece that may have signs of normal wear, this is what gives it, its character and confirms its age. Overtime wood becomes susceptible to temperature changes and will dry and crack, the fractures are a testament of time and if the cracks do not interfere in the structure and it is firm and sturdy then the piece is functional.
