Paris porcelain vases in the neoclassical taste. Each profusely decorated in expert gilding on a white ground. Measure 10 1/2" tall. At the corner of the Rue de l'Echelle and the Rue du Carrousel in what is now the Tuileries, Le Petit Carrousel sold the porcelains of the Comte d'Artois, Queen's Factory, Chevalier Brothers, Lefebvre, Moitte, Petry, Lemaire and Perche. These vases are decorated in the style of Salembier also called "Greek fashion." For related porcelains in the collection of the Musee National de Ceramique see Regine de Plinval de Guillebon's book "Porcelain of Paris" page 313. Two part construction. Good condition - iron bolt holding the tops & bases replaced. See less
