American Social Realism Pencil Signed Lithograph titled "Controversy". Circa 1936. This is a rare and early lithograph by noted American modernist-leaning landscape artist Jack McMillen. Very good condition. This lithograph is 80 years old and still looks fantastic! A rare find.
Titled "Controversy" and depicts an inner city brawl. A graphic image and a sign of the times. This was in 1936 when the great depression continued to linger on and many Americans were out of work.
Pencil signed and dated by the artist. Paper dimensions 14" x 11 1/2". The frame measures 19 1/2" x 17 1/2".
