A … Read more This exotic Mid-Century Brazilian patched leather lounge chair with table is extreme in its design and exhibits tribal features. A group of young Brazilian designers produced throughout the 1960s and 1970s some of the most extraordinary furniture. Using traditional materials and techniques and combining native and colonial influences with a progressive, relaxed attitude. Therefore this set is in the style of modern mid-century designers like Jean Gillon, Percival Lafer and Sergio Rodrigues. This lay-back set is handcrafted with a frame made from wood and is supporting a very thick leather sling seat stitched with gaucho style leather lacing. With a patchwork leather cushion on top that shows decorative stitching. The lounge chair and table are in a well preserved vintage condition and the leather cushion features a beautiful patina.
