This rare ceiling lamp was designed by Svend Aage for his own company, Holm-Sørensen, in 1959. The name of this piece is 'Opal Lamella' and it is composed of a sealed opaline glass shade set in a brass holder. It has an outer light-diffusing crimson red shade made of perforated and modular aluminium. Holm-Sørensen was greatly inspired by the Italian company, Stilnovo.
