Entitled ‘jesus amabilis’ and ‘mater amabilis’ featuring noir backgrounds, gold highlighting and decorative polychrome lilies. The mid-nineteenth century carved gilt frames accentuate the gold used by laudin and add a wonderful depth to the plaques. Both are titled and signed to the lower right-hand corner with monogram ‘jl’. France, circa 1665 – 1729. This piece has an attribution mark,
