Stunning Val Saint Lambert vase circa 1955. This vase is made of glass with a lead content of approx. 33-40%, which is much higher than the 24% legally determined. It gives the piece a superb quality and brightness. The technique for doing this is called double glass bicolor: how is blown by mouth clear glass and after resting the glass, doubles with ruby red glass, one of three classic colors used by Val Saint Lambert. After that, the red crystal is cut, so that the transparent glass becomes visible again. Facets are then cut that, in this case we speak of 'Pierres Diamonds', a pattern hard cut and finely decorated, and as a final step, the glass is polished with lava rock and a canvas. This intensive labor process provides an excellent result of the highest quality.
