The Station is an original drawing in pencil realized by Gabriele Galantara, with the handwriting of the artist on the rear. The state of preservation of the artwork is good except for central folding. The artworks representing a station with a train, expressed in quick and confident strokes, created a strong feeling of the atmosphere by figures in the scene. Gabriele Galantara (1867-1937), journalist and one of the major Italian caricaturists and satirical designers. The Donkey was a political satire magazine in 1892, the year of the first Giolitti ministry and the establishment of the Italian Socialist Party, The magazine was conceived by Guido Podrecca, and by Gabriele Galantara, brilliant cartoonist and puppeteer, also a socialist. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
