Costume is an original drawing in pencil and watercolor on paper, realized by Russian scenographer Eugène Berman, Monogrammed in pencil on the lower center'' E. B''. Passepartout include: 35 x 25 In good condition, except for small brownish stains. The artwork represents a western costume through confident strokes in a well-balanced composition.Eugène Berman (Saint Petersburg, 1899 – Rome, 1972) was a Russian painter and theater and opera scenographer. His work earned the name of ''Neo-Romantic'' for the melancholy and the introspective features. Berman might have taken inspiration from Pablo Picasso's artworks, especially from the Blue Period paintings. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
