Tempera, china ink, and pencil on paper. Very good conditions. This artwork includes 24 unbound sheets: 10 numbered and 14 unnumbered sheets. The numeration is written in pencil on the back of each sheet. It is an artist's proof for the illustrated book ''The adventures of the Little Fawn'' (original Italian title: ''Le Avventure di Cerbiattino''). The artworks are lovely for the brilliance and the vividness of the colors: one episode of the story is represented on each sheet. The first sheet is the cover of the book. The main characters of the story are: the butterfly, the frog, the bird, the wolf, the porcupine, the hare, and the fawn. In the center of the composition, ''Le Avventure di Cerbiattino Racconto e disegni di Sandro Nardini'' is written in pencil. In the following sheets, there are different scenes of the story with the various characters. Some of these sheets are not totally painted, some characters are merely sketched in pencil, leaving some space to the writings. All of them are in very good conditions. Sandro Nardini is an Italian writer and illustrator, popular especially for his books for children. This artwork is shipped from Italy.
