On one side, eleven subjects are drawn in ink, among which La Pietà in different poses, a female figure, and a profile. On the upper part of the other side of the paper, a long inscription, handwritten in Latin and Italian, appears, dealing with diverse literary themes. This artwork was realized by an anonymous artist of the first half of the XIX century. The state of preservation is good, except for some spread stains and a darkened margin of the paper. On the written side of the paper, on the right at the center, the paper is slightly damaged. This is probably a piece of paper from a sketchbook. Overall, the drawing is beautiful, pleasant to the eye, interesting in the subject matter, and realized by a skilled hand in drawing. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price. The shipping may require additional handling days to require the licence according to the final destination of the artwork. See less
