The painting is a beautiful example of Palmieri's art: the artwork, representing a sunflower field, is characterized by full and pasty strokes. On the background, a dark sky wraps the field. Claudio Palmieri, born in Rome in 1955, was a protagonist of the New Roman School, or Via del Paradiso, and boasts more than twenty years of national and international artistic activity. This versatile artist deals with painting and sculpture with equal expressive ability, rejecting conventional disciplinary barriers and, at the same time, enhancing the linguistic peculiarities (painting, photography, sculpture, sound research).
