Enrico sacchetti (rome, 1877 - settignano, 1967) enrico sacchetti was an italian painter, illustrator and writer, winner of the bagutta prize in 1935 with ''vita da artista'', as well as one of the most famous italian caricaturists of the twentieth century [. In 1901 he collaborated with vamba, at the bruscolo, and then began working as a caricaturist with umberto notari, which led him to success. He is a friend of filippo tommaso marinetti, of whom he describes the poetry magazine, and becomes one of the most famous advertising illustrators, thanks to the successful series of bitter campari and the proton reinvigorating syrup. In 1908 he moved to argentina, where in buenos aires he collaborated for el diario, the capital's daily, but disappointed by the south american experience, he returned to europe where, for a short time, he stayed in paris. From 1912 he began to collaborate assiduously at la lettura, an illustrated monthly magazine of the corriere della sera, for which he designed many of the color covers and internal black and white illustrations that accompanied novels and novels. His style will visually characterize the magazine for about 25 years (just as achille beltrame and walter molino characterize la domenica del corriere). During the first world war, enlisted in the ranks of the royal army, he collaborated in la tradotta with the famous magazine of the iii army. After the cassibile armistice he will join the italian social republic and the pictorial work will also be accompanied by an occasional collaboration with the ''corriere'' as elzevirista.
