Hand-titled ''Monaca della Sapienza'' in black ink on the lower margin at the center. Excellent conditions. This beautiful and solemn watercolor on paper represents a nun of Wisdom picking up a lemon from her plant. She is wearing a long white garment and a black veil. The use of lines and colors in this lovely artwork, with soft and diffused chiaroscuro, fully reflect the artist's style. Michela De Vito In the XIX century, Michela De Vito native of Abruzzi, worked in Naples and became a famous artist. She was maybe the daughter or sister of Camillo de Vito, a reknown painter of guaches above all of views and scenes of everyday life. Sometimes she is mistaken with Michele de Vito. “A refined painter, very skilled when it came to drawings, she had the characteristic to make her subject more gentle, compared to her male collegues''; this is how De Rosa and Trastulli describe her. This artwork is shipped from Italy. - Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations

- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
