Original … Read more Still Life is an original modern artwork realized by the Italian painter Giuseppe Canali (Pseudonym Enrico Alià) in 1940. Original oil on board. Signed and dated on the lower right: Canali 1940. Exhibitions: X exhibition of the Fascist Interprovincial Union of Fine Arts of Rome, National Gallery of Modern Art, Rome (the label is present on the back). Mint conditions. Beautiful and colorful surrealist still life painting realized by the Venetian artist and etcher Giuseppe Canali. Giuseppe Canali (best kown with the psedonym Enrico Alià) (Venice, 1885) studied in Milan and was a pupil of Alessandro Milesi; he dedicated his production to etchings and his works, in this genre, were highly appreciated. At the Primavera Fiorentina in 1922 he participated with two works: ''Passando'' (Passying) and ''Ville veneziane'' (Venetian Villas). He also participates at the National Art Exhibition of Brera in 1922 exhibiting the aquatint ''L'ultimo gradino'' (the last step). This object is shipped from Italy.
