The Fortress is an original ink and watercolor on paper realized in 1940 by Gustave Bourgain Signed on the plate on the lower right. The State of preservation is very good. The artwork represents a huge fortress, which is depicted skillfully through confident and precise strokes in a harmonious composition. Gustave Bourgain, French, born Paris, France 1856-died Paris, France ca. 1918. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
