The portfolio, that includes 10 lithographs on Japanese paper (various sizes) representing original artworks by Egon Schiele between 1906 and 1918, is from an edition of 600 copies, printed by Reichl & Partner, Vienna 1990 and published by Siedler Wien. Signed on plate on lower left margin. Perfect conditions. The original ''Kirche von Bozen'' is a colored chalk artwork realized by Schiele; in the center of the composition, there is the church of Bolzano with the high bell tower where Schiele visited during his first years of activity. The colors are expressionist and the architectural volumes are characterized by bright and lively colors. Egon Schiele (Tulln, 1890 – Wien, 1918) was a very famous Austrian painter and one of the most important exponents in the early XX century. His artworks are famous especially for its intensity and its sensuality; the artist produced a lot of portraits, including naked self-portraits. He can be considered one of the most important exponents of Expressionism movement for the bodies and for the expressive contour lines. In 1909, he abandoned the Academy of Fine Arts and founded the Neukunstgruppe with some friends. In 1910, he moved to a little village with the model Wally Neuzil, looking for inspiration. Schiele's work has been considered pornographic, disturbing and focused on sex: this caused some troubles for the artist during his life. In 1914, Edith Harms became his wife and his muse. She has been described in some famous artwork of the artist. Image Dimensions : 25.5 x 15.5 cm This artwork is shipped from Italy.
