The artwork is hand-signed and dated in charcoal pencil on the lower-left corner. In excellent condition. Including Passepartout (cm 50x 60). This beautiful watercolor represents a road which divided into two ways for passing, one from the road and one through a historical arc blew the hoses. The arc beautifully filled with different brown color and blue, the vertical brushes made it seems like columns. there is no alive creature, the only presentation of aliveness through the silence of the road is a green vegetable in the left side of the artwork. This admirable piece of art is somehow a desire of quietness in the mass of the crowded city of today. Arc here is presenting a historical architecture. This artwork with strong brushes and delicate lines comes from a skillful hand, transmitting the quietness of a city or countryside. It is a worthy unique piece of art to look at and collect. Armin Guther (1931 - 2017) was an important artist born in Austria. He studied here and he specialized in drawing, painting ecc. In 1987 he won the Don Quixote Prize for Sculpture.
