Oil on canvas. Very fine oil painting representing a beautiful river landscape with bridge and an old village on the left side. A similar composition titled ''Landscape with bridge and peasants” has been realized by Francesco Zuccarelli (1702-1788) and now is preserved in the Kress Collection (Texas). This Anonymous painter can be considered one of the artists near the Venetian School of the second half of the 18th century, closed to Zuccarelli, one of the most important exponents that realized landscapes with fantastic atmosphere, in which reality and fantasy creates a fascinating poetic vision.
