The Saturn Outdoor wall lamp from Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen in the “giant” Maxi version.
The Saturn is oriented vertically. At the top and bottom, the light sources are positioned behind a glare ring. This ring protects against direct glare but also acts as an inward-facing reflector. The actual reflector is the “Saturn ring,” a horizontal disc that distributes the light upward and downward. The light sources are protected from the elements by screw-on glass diffuser covers. The base plate for wall mounting is made of solid aluminum. The lamp body is placed on top and secured to the plate on the sides with Allen screws. The lamp is primarily intended for outdoor use and is protected accordingly. The craftsmanship, down to the finest details, is naturally of very high quality.
