Bijar Rug from the 1960s. The pile of this Middle Eastern rug was tightly compressed in the weave with a comb so was a serious and very rugged rug.

All our rugs are cleaned in a professional rug laundry. The first step of the purification consists thorough tapping of the rug to remove dust and possibly mites. The subsequent pre-wash with a pH neutral soap removes stains. In the main wash of the rug by hand is thoroughly washed wet - a special soap protects the fibers and keeps the natural wool grease of the rug. By mechanical presses and spinning done a first drainage, then allow to dry hanging with permanent air recirculation to the rugs.
